FLOPS
FLOPS stands for "Floating Point Operations per Second."
It is used to measure the performance of a computer and particularly with regard to supercomputers.
As of October 2010, the world's fastest supercomputer is the Tianhe-1A in the National University of Defense Technology in China. It claims a record of 2.507 petaFLOPS (2.5 quadrillion, or 2,500 trillion floating point operations per second).
