Smacker
Smacker Video is a proprietary video file format developed by RAD Game Tools for video games. It only supports video with up to 256 colours (although using a trick called pallet rotation can boost the number of maximum colours in a video), supports transparency and can achieve a compression ratio of up to 1:12. It quickly loses quality to pixelation once the compression ratio gets higher. A newer and better option for video game videos is Bink Video, which also is developed by RAD Game Tools.
