Super Multi

Super Multi is a term, originally coined by LG, which describes a drive that is capable of writing to the following formats: CD-R , CD-RW , DVD-R / DVD-RW , DVD+R / DVD+RW and DVD-RAM. A Super Multi drive cannot burn several types of discs however include DVD-RW DL and DVD+RW DL, as well as BD-R, PD discs, DD-CD-R and DD-CD-RW. Some Super Multi burners do support DVD-R DL and DVD+R DL however. Both LG and NEC use the term for some of their products.
